In spite of some of the worst proofreading I have ever seen
The plot is exciting, the history is fascinating, but you will wade through goddawful typos everywhere. I have no idea how this escaped into print except for the fact that it was a fun, if not always easy read.

What an amazingly good writer
I first read Colin Smiths "Spies of Jerusalem" and was amazed at what an incredibly good read it was.
I then got "Let us do evil" and was just as pleased. What a great read this book is too.
I am now part-way through Colin's "Collateral damage" and am really enjoying that as well.
The only problem I have with Colin Smiths writing is that I am going to run out of his works too soon.

Great historical spy/suspense novel
I read this after reading the somewhat-prequel to this book (Spies of Jerusalem). I enjoyed both books very much. Looking forward to more historical suspense books from Colin Smith.
